"Ohhh it is going to be a blistery morning! Make sure your snow clothes are easily accessible! If you have to commute try leaving a couple hours earlier! Grease your snow shovels! Store extra water! Do you have your food storage? A snowstorm to baptize the Wasatch Front. Tomorrow...just might be...the end of the world! Tuck your little ones in extra tight!"
Last night, sleep eluded me as I thought about the fluffy white stuff spreading thick on my front lawn. I planned my first of the year snowman and placed my pink boots by the front door. And I am looking out the window this morning and it looks like this:
Kids are doing handstands. Puppies, children, green grass. Watch your back Roland Steadham. Watch your back.

13 Pieces of Opinion:
Would this make this 'the winter of your discontent'? (stealing without guilt from one Wm Shakespeare)
My theory is when they say it is the most incredible snowstorm of all time, nothing happens, its the sneaky no notice no big deal storms that knock your socks (and cute pink boots) off!
A.) You can see really far from your window.
B.) The wind was so bad last night it ripped our screen door out and shredded the jam.
C.) Windy and snowy over here, it's just not sticking.
D.) Rub it in.
I noticed on Rolands "Just The Facts" page that he said that he hasn't found his hidden talent yet....obviously it is NOT predicting the weather.
If ever you do get some extra snow, can you freeze some for me or send some my way. All I ever saw last year was about 1/2" in March.
Will meteorologist ever accurately predict weather? Not until they get the memo form God.
Me so too. Seriously. 4:00 a.m. I am wallowing in the midst of my insomnia and I hear the wind start to blow. Wild with anticipation I watch and listen. I hear what sounds like slushy stuff beating against the window and the adrenalin chases all chances of sleep away.
But no, I am disappointed. No snow. Nada. Nothing.
Fickle woman that I am however, I was every bit as pleased to bask in the brisk sunshine as I exited my office this afternoon as I had been when I heard last night's forecast for snow.
I'm with you Compulsive....I was up with the wind too. I was just hoping that if the wind blew a tree branch off of our tree into my bedroom window that hopefully the shutters would protect us. Hubby flew to Hawaii today for the week and I just have to say that I think I might be having anxiety regarding this adventure that is creeping into my consious and unconsious life.
Cjane, I can still wait a touch longer for the snow to fall. My landscapers need to come and clear the leaves and walnuts off of my yard and clean out my gutter this weekend so that when the snow melts and refreezes we are not selling tickets to ice skate on my driveway, if that makes any sense. Just a week longer is all that I ask. Besides, with hubby on leave who will shovel me out of the house??
That reminds me of a time when I was in the fifth grade and we had a major hurricane warning. They cancelled school and all the stores sold out of canned food, bottled water, matches, and batteries. Everyone had their windows boarded up, etc. We got out some board games and other things to do while waiting out the storm and prayed. It started raining, or should I say drizzling, for a few hours and then the sun came out.
We didn't even lose power. It was really disappointing. In that I-sure -am-glad-nobody-died-but-a-huge-storm -would-have-been-nice kind of way.
You trusted the 2News?
That's why there is no snow. God doesn't run THAT news team. No offense, but they are out of the loop.
PS: I ate my food storage in the last storm. It just felt right. So we will be counting on you and that includes the dog.
that totally SUCKS
Please keep me posted on the weather. We'll be there next Wednesday and I'd like to know how to pack.
I can wait for snow. Forever if needs be. Wait and wait and wait and wait.
You must be out building your snowman, because I keep seeing snow in UT on the news. It makes me sad that NieNie doesn't appreciate the beautiful 78 degree weather we have here in AZ!
