Around the table we go: Starting with me, ~J, Sue-donym, Azucar, Anne, Haley
Last week Azucar e-mailed me with a request. Saith her "I need you to tell me which of my posts is your favorite." I am a loyal fan of ====The Jet Set and read all of her luxurious posts, but there is one post that produces a laugh out loud every single time.
This is it.
Then yesterday, when all of my troubles seemed so far away, she has the nerve to post this.
Now which one is my favorite?
I will always love this one from Formerly Phread/~J.
And as this is Saint Patrick's Day weekend I want to link this one from Bek which, to this day, makes me laugh. Chup and I still whisper "hiiii" in each other's ears for fun (we do other things for fun, I just haven't made you privy to that information. Perv.)
Also for your weekend pleasure look what Haley found. I watch to this diddy four-to-five times a day. When he sings "So I tried a little Freddie" and then goes "mmmm" and his nostrils flair just a little, I melt all over my keyboard and Chup has to yell, "Are you watching that video AGAIN?"
Amuse me. Honor your friends. Post me your favorite blogging links.
(you can cut and paste urls in my comments.)

58 Pieces of Opinion:
Can you Spare a Dime
I laugh and then I drive to Taco Bell and order me some chalupas!
I get to go explore the new posts... I just re read my St. Patricks Day post from last year. Not much has changed in our house. Jacob still escapes and hides in small places, and Lauren has already started her "there isn't going to be any green food is there?" campaign. She is convinced it will make her sick. Poor kid...
My favorite newest place to read is Planet Nomad. It is very well written and is about a mom and family living in Manituria--a country in south west Africa. It is fascinating while being funny and sweet....
My brother is one funny dude! Funnier than yours probably.
Bek, hiii. I am going to Planet Nomad today.
I'm too lazy to find funny posts but am glad you posted these. Nothing like a good giggle in the morn'. Oh, except I cannot read Azucar's blog anymore - nothing against her, of course, because she's fab but I just go crosseyed. sniffle.
That is too bad Lucky, you are missing out.
My single sister-in-law is beautiful and poetic. This is one of my faves.
My siz deserae
ok, and if that html code works, I rock!!!
I love a lot of the "regulars" here for different reasons...I love Geo's sense of humor, big fan o' c-dub, la yen makes me giggle, and ~j's those are my funny fav's. But I appreciate many others for lots of reasons!
I'm loving the Mika-Grace Kelly-thanks!
ps. I don't think I cut and pasted right....sorry.
Those links were fab, cjane.
Bek, you confused me, because I've spent time in southwest Africa and studied it and have never heard of the country Manituria. I had to do some research!! The country is Mauritania and is in west Africa. I felt kind of dumb for a minute. But thanks for a good tip on planetnomad. Now I just feel dumb because I've never heard of that singer (band?) who sings Grace Kelly, but interest is piqued.
Azucar, I am in love with your son who thinks that dude is his daddy. That made my day!
Another fun idea!
I thought Azucar's post today was hilarious! It still makes me laugh!
My link today is from my son Scott's blog. When I read this, I laughed so hard! I don't know if it's really funny if you don't know him but I thought it was pretty darn funny. (warning: he uses even more explanation points than I do and he wasn't blessed with the "good speller" gene but you can get his point.)
A side note: He fanagled $20 out of Lee to buy him his own set of Luna Stix. He just doesn't do it to Brittany Spears music because that would be "fuity"!
What The?
Ok, I didn't figure out the linky blue line easy to click thingy, but I at least got this for you to copy and paste.
I will say when I need a good laugh this one is definitely on my list. An oldy, but a goody.

THIS
I start every morning here...www.thepioneerwoman.com
She can usually at least make me crack a grin first thing in the morning.
Start with her link to the "humiliation chronicles" to the right. Good stuff.
(p.s. I really enjoy your Jolly Porter brother's blog as well! It makes me laugh out loud. Alone. Staring at a computer screen. That's hard to do! Esp. the 7 Brides post...made me bust a gut.)
and THIS
and THIS ONE just about made me cry
I identify with THIS ONE too. I have my IPOD on as we speak!
word verification: pitzpxn
let's not forget THIS ONE cause I want to take it out behind the middle school and get it pregnant!
I love THIS FACE that turns into THIS FACE
THIS is beautiful.
THESE are classic's!!!!!
I'll be quiet now
Just ONE more
ps. I think a lot of times the comments are funnier than the actual post....that was the case here: http://igottab.blogspot.com/2007/03/before-you-decide-how-to-spend-your-tax.html
wayyy funnier than anything I could write!
sister pottymouth and geo are funny commenters.
Emily,
Truth be told, I have NO IDEA where that country is and I was spelling it off the top of my head (just remember seeing it on a map a kajillion years ago...). So I am sure I lead you all astray, who has time to fact check? not me!!
I also love Lisa's (Oh Judy) Our Lamanite Friends.... classic.
You KNOW you're funny when your first post gets 57 - yes 57 comments. Check out this gals very first post...
http://thecozblog.blogspot.com/
Geo's I'm not goth and b.'s what happens to boobs when you die> posts are some of my faves. Along with those already linked.
But this little gem still makes me laugh out loud.
If I'm not too busy looking oppressed, that is.
I can't believe another post cracked the top! You've been holding steady on the Soviet post for years now! ~j's list is such a classic.
Bek--I was totally going to mention Our Lamanite Friends because it's brilliant.
Pay it forward.
Being A Woman or Adventures, I can't decide which one I like more.
Natural Redhead from Redlaw.
I Learned to Swear On My Mission.
Can't look at 'panini' anymore.
Burrito.
Curly fries.
There are so many more, maybe I'll stop there for now.
I have some funny friends as well. However, I don't know HTML code, so, bare with me as I have cut and paste the links. I know, I'm lame!

I don't know this author personally, but I love her writing; especially this entry about an afternoon with her 4-year-old son.
P.S. I also vote for LVC's Our Lamanite Friends.
i really love this post, all about delicious men, and some not-so-delicious, at least not to me. anyway:

This is a fun activity thanks for posting. I laugh and laugh...
I was thinking cut and pasting urls would work in comments, but I am having a hard time seeing the whole url for those who have tried it.
So brave soldiers, you can follow my simple html tutorial so that you too can post links. Here we go:
You will type all of this continuously without spaces (if the link carries over to the next line it's fine):
type: <
type: a
type: href
type: =
type: "
type: the url of the link
type: "
type: >
type: whatever you want the link to say
type: <
type: /a
type: >
Who wants to try it? Marilyn? I have faith in you! Wendysue?
P.S. Hi Leslie
Emily taught me that too.. .I had no idea it was so easy..
I have found so many great new places to read! Thanks CJane. Also, I was looking at that table full of lovely women and was reminded how nice it is to turn blog friends in to face friends...
Lots of my favorites have already been mentioned: lamanite friends, shame on pebbles, etc....and gracie nursing two babes at once.
Fun times. Fun, fun times.
cjane, you are awesome! You not only entertain me, but try to teach me HTML as well?
I have been trying and trying but it is not working. It just keeps giving me this message:
"Your HTML cannot be accepted: Tag is not allowed:" and then it displays what I have typed and so I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.
I am sorry that you put your faith in someone SO LAME :(
Marilyn--do you have a space between the "a" and the "href" so it reads a href? That's where the HTML always gets me. I have faith in you, too! (I always have to use the code because I don't have the nifty hyperlink tool in blogger's version for my browser.)
this
Yay, it worked! Thanks cjane and compulsive writer! You have to be smarter than these darn computers and apparently today I am!
Here's some more.
here
OK, I'm on a roll. Here's one more.
here
CW you bring up a good point. I forgot the space in between the a and the href. Sorry Marilyn.Let's try again:
type: <
type: a href=
type: "the url of the link"
type: >whatever you want the link to say<
type: /a>
Maybe give that a shot? No pressure though.
Marilyn. I knew you could do it. Once again I apologize for my error and causing frustration on your head. My apologies and congratulations!
>THIS
"'cuz there 'aint no party like my nanna's tea party"
Thanks for the html tutorial AND the links. I haven't laughed this hard in a really long time.
here
and here

-LindZ
Liz, Yes. I thank you for being so observant. Fiona thanks you too.
I'll never find it to link it, but the Fiona post was one of my favorites.
I think I can I think I can
who doesn't love to read about judo pants?
Oh, and I totally forgot about Our Lamanite Friends. . .cracks. . .me. . .up.
Oh i almost stopped breathing while reading the judo pants post. i am still laughing so hard i can hardly type. thanks for the link for this middle of the night bloggin session of mine. pudding anyone?
I know Noelle, that kid is a funny guy.
Thanks to everyone who posted their links for my weekend fun. We added "fruity" and "fuity" to our vocabulary this weekend.
And don't you love how Lisa continues with her Laminite Friends vignettes in the comments? They just keep coming and coming...
And I loved how Justine's Sister-in-law described her looser date or how one husband throws knifes at the ceiling in an attempt to kill the lingering helium balloons and the woman who was going to buy a sexy cop get up because her husband had a dream.
I could keep going...
And congrats to all those who learned html this weekend. Now get linking yourbadselves!
oh yes and where boobs go when we die (mine are staying put)...
Darn you woman -- I can't stop listening to that grace kelly song! I sang it all the way up Y Mountain on Saturday, and I don't even know the words!
I don't get why Lisa called that post our "laminite Friends." Did she mean LamAnite (like the dark-skinned people of the B of M?) I kept reading it Laminate (like the fake wood flooring...and thought there must be some kind of inside joke) there probably is. anyway...very funny links here! esp. the Jolly Porter--Oh Mercy! i don't know that i've ever laughed so hard out loud in front of my computer screen as i did reading the judo pants installment--side splitting!
She meant Laminite, as in indian or First Nation. The family next door is most assuradly First Nation (or Native American...but they are from Canada so they call it First Nation). THey are also pretty funny. I was actually there for several of these interations. She is not exaggerating for the sake of humor. That makes it even MORE funny...
yay for boobs that'll hang with us through the eternities!
just fyi, that mika dude is performing on jay leno tonight. (monday)
he's kinda hot.
