Baroness (for two)

Last night I returned from a delicious trip to Pasadena with my family. We ate, shopped and celebrated BYU football at the Rose Bowl. I also picked up this Baroness dress at H&M. It's the perfect autumnal color! I will be wearing a tank with it--just in case you are shocked. I suppose though, I should start from the beginning, with my news.

I have been overwhelmed with the gifts, e-mails and comments I have received. It has been an emotional time for me. I keep feeling like I am in some surreal dream.

I actually posted the news the day I found out via the Clear Blue Pregnancy test. I found out in the morning and spent the day surprising my family. Chup first, of course. He is excited and often texts me during the day with admonishings that end with (for two.) For instance, Drive Safe! (for two.) I haven't thought of this yet, but what if it is (for three)?

I have always supposed that I would be the type that would wait a couple months to share any baby news. However, I felt so strongly that this was a global collective effort. I could constantly feel prayers, wishes and positive affirmations from family, friends to good people I have never met. This is everyone's miracle and I felt it would be selfish to keep it secret. Besides, how else do I show gratitude for the support?

In five long years of trying I was told in dreams that I would conceive in the Lord's time. He kept his promise. He always does. That is my message to share!

I am looking forward to May. . . and wearing my new Baroness dress.

And I am craving metallic shoes.

May is a good month.

Many, many congratulations again!

I think I dreamed last night that you knew 13 months ago that you were pregnant, but kept it a secret all this time. I kept asking you, "Are you sure it's not 13 weeks?"

That was generous of you to share your news so soon. Here's to a healthy and happy 8 more months (for two).

I'm pulling for April 30th. 30 days hath September, APRIL, June, and November, who cares about the rest.
Yes, I know I failed to have a baby on 3-11, but maybe you'll overlook that oversight?

Dear Peanut Snack(s),

We prayed long and hard for you (two.) Now we can get back to praying for Darfur.

Love,
Auntie Sugar

I second Emily's comment...thanks for generously letting us share in the joy!

The Lord always shows us what path to follow, but it always seems a bit more clear in hindsight doesn't it!?

5 years will feel like nothing when you hold that baby in your arms....xoxo

I had my first baby (Marilyn) in May, and I had an Aunt May (way ahead of her time and she wore great hats and shoes!)

I still tear up about the news. Again congrats and prayers for a healthy pregnancy and baby(s). (My hubby is a twin - the grand finale #11 & 12 - twelve kids can you imagine - in a two bedroom house to boot).

I'm so happy for you - Congratulations!! You'll be a great mom. I know it.

I agree with other commenters - May is a wonderful month to have a birthday!! Everyone in my office (three people, including the boss) has a May birthday. It's why we get along so well. Teehee.

My first was April 28th and it's a great time of year to have a baby. You can spend all summer swimming in your maternity suit and not care what other's think because Hello! You just had a baby.

You have our continued prayers and best wishes.

I wish metallic shoes were all I was craving. Hopefully french fries and burgers don't make their way into your pregnancy like they have mine.

The whole bit about Chup texting with his comments ending in (for two) is absolutely endearing. That was my favorite part of this whole post...and your affirmation that the Lord does fulfill things on the timetable that He has for us. That is always so reassuring and important (I think) for us to share our convictions of that with each other. We certainly all have our own burdens that we wait upon the Lord for.

This is so so beautiful. Congratulations, again. xo

Can I be a major creeper and send you a card? I'd need your addy!

May is also a great month. Perfect time to have a baby.

Great dress, too btw. I wish I could go to H&M...

I was so happy all weekend for you. I told all of my friends I hung out with about your news...even though most of them have no idea who you are. Nothing makes me happier than good people FINALLY getting exactly what they deserve.

I echo what everyone else says. May is a good month for a sweet baby or for sweet little babies. I'm truly happy and excited for you.

Rochelleht said...

I love H&M.

Oh, and babies.

But now that you're getting one, maybe you can spend your prayer efforts focusing on getting an H&M nearby.

I'm just saying... It's a really great store.

You'll love the H&M kids department.

this is a dress to be loved for so many reasons! and i call NO FAIR that you ran away this weekend and we couldn't bombard you at church yesterday! poor chup -- he was somewhat mauled with all of our questions and uncontrolled excitement! still grinning from ear to ear about this wonderful news!

Lindsey said...

Another great thing about May.....MOTHERS Day! Woo hoo!

Justine said...

And why doesn't H&M have an online store??? Huh???

I could scream a hair-curling happiness scream for you right now (and NOT just over the dress), except that ma honey's already sleeping and I don't want to disturb him. But honestly, I want to dance! I know it, I know it, I know it, exactly the family of feelings you've expressed. The dreams, the promise kept, the irrepressible village shout-out, the yesyesyes to spring 2008. And, can you believe it? Yesterday at church I saw a two-year-old wearing silver-sequined sparkler-Suzy shoes, and now I want some too. If I went to H&M (I am sadly uninitiated), I would likely want a new dress too. Actually I already do want a new dress. Just haven't picked one.

But I digress. I think I'll go outside and scream for the neighbors in your honor.

What a perfect way to stay warm this winter!!!

" I haven't thought of this yet, but what if it is (for three)?" WHAT A THOUGHT!!

Super Duper Congrats to you and yours!!

I read your blog everyday although I rarely comment. But I wanted to tell you congratulations! I don't even know you, but I'm so happy for you. My husband and I are going to start trying for a baby this fall, and I've had all these paranoid fantasy's (nightmares) about not being able to conceive. But what you said today really touched me--that it would happen in the Lord's time. Thank you for sharing that. And I think it's great that you shared this happy news earlier than most--why deprive yourself of months of good-wishes?!!
