The Beat is On

Not to brag or anything . . . but . . .

I heard my baby's heartbeat yesterday and it was the most beautiful sound I have ever experienced.

And it was fast!

It was really emotional, I was crying, the NP was crying. Chup recorded the sound on his phone. Hooray!

Yea! The next greatest thing is when you feel your baby move. That's pretty awesome too!

That is awesome! For me, that is the moment when it becomes real. My doctor here does an ultrasound at 9 weeks, so that was a first for us and very cool. But, I'm still looking forward to HEARING the heartbeat (this Friday) even though I have already SEEN it. It is just magical.

Congratulations! That's really exciting! With both of my pregnancies, hearing the heartbeat made the baby seem all the more real.

mr. dub likes to make the wooshing noise just for fun sometimes.

can't wait to meet vlad.

Each time you hear it, you will feel the exact same emotions! It never gets old. Even when you're huge and swollen and can't stand the thought of being pregnant one SECOND longer, it will STILL mystify you.

How sweet that your NP cried with you. Are you finding out what you are having? Make a trip to California, there is a place in Costa Mexican (or Costa Mesa) where you can find out what you are having at 13 weeks.

**I can say such racial remarks because I had a best friend when I was little who was A Mexican.

**Okay, I am A Mexican.

This almost made me start crying. I remember that moment for me. I heard my heartbeat first, and then this really fast whoosh-a-whoosh-a-whoosh-a-whoosh, and it was amazing. Such an incredible experience.

Feeling thrilled for you.

p.s. I agree with Cari...just wait until you feel that little one moving around. It's such an awesome thing. I _loved_ that, and it's one of the things I am most excited about for the next time around.

Jen said...

That is so exciting! I think fast means it is a girl for sure.

Laura said...

AHHHHHHH, it is so exciting to listen to the heart beats. As you have been reading about having heartbeats beats fast, it means girl.

Another thing to think about your body shape.. is your body shape growing like a tire or a basketball?
The myth says: tires means girl while a basketball means boy. Just for yourself to analyze your body shape :-)

I love it! Wait until you see that little one squirming around at the ultra sound! Pretty amazing!! (We were lucky enough to be there to see Charlie's ultra sound...that's when I fell in love!)

Yea YOU!!!!!

So Happy!

i love it and i love marc chagall.

did chup cry? dave does and it is adorable.

by the way, whatever anyone says about the sex relating to the speed of the heartbeat, don't believe them. they were always wrong when they told me. although there's a 50/50 chance they are right so it's not too hard to guess correctly.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. I think we'll have to wait and see if the heartbeat belongs to a little lady (I think it does.)
