Footprints in the Snow

I like it when the lint catcher gets really thick and I can pull that dense multi-colored sheet of collected fuzzies off the filter.

I dislike static. Oh so much so much so much.

Chup likes his cookies well-done-ish.

Chup dislikes forwarded e-mails. He calls it "sheep passing on the baaaaad news."

I like studying the socks in the accessories aisles at Target.

I dislike the sound I hear when I wear my puffy coat and Chup touches my back. It's like loud and crackly and nylon-y and loud. And if he forgets how bad I hate it and he touches me I have to hold his hand for a few seconds after. I don't know why. It's something about moisture. I have a thing with moisture which is partly why I hate static. Don't ever shock me after you've been sliding around on a trampoline. I will hate you forever.

Chup likes Minute Maid's new Orangeade.

Chup dislikes sleeping under the covers.

I like seeing the puppies for sale in the parking lot of Sportsman's Warehouse on Saturday afternoons.

Chup likes his new car we bought tonight. It is going to cost us exactly five hundred seventy-two dollars and thirty three cents less in gas every month.

Chup dislikes it when we have a fresh snowfall and our property transforms into a field of undisturbed winter wonderlawn only to have the mailman come along, cut across our beloved driven snow on his way from our mailbox to our neighbor's leaving big, fat, cruel, mailman tracks in his wake.

I like when its late at night, and either the air conditioner or heater (depending on the season) kicks in and hums me to sleep. Always been a big fan(double meaning?). Sometimes when I can't get to sleep I will go adjust the thermostat so that the big machine can fire up just for me.

May not so much likey when I forget the next day to re-adjust the thermostat, and then she can't figure out why the temperature in the house is so screwy.

Thanks for playing along.

I take it the new car is a pair of legs?

I so agree with so many of your likes/dislikes. I could never live in snow again because I HATE it. Also, I totally hate the sound of crunching feet on packed snow. ARGH!! Totally reminds me of the horror days of standing and waiting for the bus in the DI parking lot. Yep, that was our bus stop. The trauma.

I dislike the feeling of cotton balls. Or when people run their fingers really hard on cheap papery napkins. It is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I like the smell of our puppy's paws (corn chips) and putting on thick, creamy lotion after a long, hot shower.

I like being the first one to use a new jar of peanut butter. (It's so smooth and no jelly goobs in it.) I like when Lee lets me sleep in while he takes the boys to early morning seminary. I dislike it when my neighbor calls at 6:30 a.m. to ask for a ride to school that doesn't start until 8:20. Hello!

Just for you cjane,

I loved feeling the baby inside of me move.
I didn't love when that baby kicked my bladder!

I loved the beauty of being co-creators with God.
I didn't love the being co-inhabiting of my waistline.

I loved the miracle of birth of that precious fresh new baby.
I didn't love the final phase of labor when I thought that precious baby would NEVER come out!

I loved breastfeeding and watching that baby love it too.
I didn't love the first 6 weeks of breast feeding that killed my poor breasts and sent me into contractions again!

I loved watching that baby learn to smile, talk and walk.
I didn't love when that baby became a teenager and learned to drive!

I loved when that teenager became a woman and a mom and understood all the sacrifice of a mother's love.
I know you will love it too!

Love: both Clark sisters' blogs.

And, I deliberately alternate light and dark loads in my dryer so that the link tray will be oh-so-pretty when I take it out :)

Speaking of Azúcar's like of the midnight train whistle, I like that I will forever remember a comforting email she sent me once. It was several months ago when I was keeping watch through the night by my grandma's bedside, while she was transitioning from this world to the next. Azúcar wrote:

"Every time that midnight train whistles think of me sending love down the line."

(And I kid you not, as I am typing this I am suddenly hearing the train!)
