Oh La La

Now that I have scanned every best/worst Oscar night's red carpet website (what time on my hands?) I can now pronounce that Marion's eau-de-mermaid gown was my favorite.

What was yours?

Anne Hathaway's was my favorite.

Tilda Swinton's.

HA!

Just kidding.

I loved Marion Cotillard's dress. It's amazing.

Katherine Heigle. I have a small crush on her. Red is her color.

Were it not for the strange arm shawl attachments, I think Helen Mirren's dress could have been quite fabulous.

I liked that Kelly Preston used color.. I liked the red, but my all time favorite was Jennifer Garner or Heidi Klum...

Marilyn said...

Helen Mirren's won by a landslide...in my opinion. Absolute gorgeousness.

I did love Katherine Heigl's as well and thought Jennifer Garner looked really great.

I loved the shape of Marion's dress, but not so much the mermaid-y scales. She looked amazing with a capital A!

My vote would be for either Hilary Swank or Renee Zellwegger.

Heidi Klum. It was a bit much, but I can't help and love it.

heidi klum. what a dress! loved the red!

Heidi Klum, definitely. Red is my favorite, and she looks fabulous for having what is it now....three kids in like four years? Amazing.

Diane Lane. She looked fabulous. Very classy and understated. And I agree with Marilyn - Marion's dress had beautiful lines but the scales had to go. Heidi Klum looked more like her dress was wearing her than she wearing it. The red clashed with her tan too - tangerine would have looked better perhaps. I also didn't get the pink lips, jewels and bag??

And the winner is... Heidi Klum. Perfect hollywood glamour.

At the risk of sounding too....metrosexual.....I thought Heidi Klum was perfect. In a night of too much red, she wore it right. But she's a model, and that's not fair.

So I'd have to say Helen Mirren. Hey, I have a thing for older women.

Heidi Klum looked fabulous but how she is married to Seal remains a mystery to me.

Cameron Diaz in her "blush" satin. Classic.

Heidi looked fabulous, it is true. But I kept thinking, why is she there?

Does anyone know?

Anne Hathaway came in second in my book.

What was up with everyone wearing black or red? At least Marion's was a little different. I did think Helen Miren looked fab!

I really like what Rebecca Miller wore.

Katherine Heigl all the way. Dress, hair, jewelry...loved it all!

I loved the way Katherine Heigle's dress swished as she walked. It was almost poetic. She has got a 40's glam to her (covet the tiny waist.)

I think there was more elegance and glam and less over the top outrageous this year.

I want to look like Helen Mirren. She is perfect in her imperfections.

Has Calista Flockhart looked in the mirror lately? One two many times under the knife. She is getting MJ scary.

I think the fish scale dress that Marion wore was a masterpiece of workmanship. I was amazed at the detail, and she pulled it off beautifully. You have to be young to pull off that dress.

I still like Nicole Kidman better with red hair and the year she wore the chartreuse mandarin dress is still a standout in my mind.

How has no one mentioned how stunning Keri Russell looked? In my book she won hands down.

I though Helen Mirren was a vision. I dream of walking the red carpet and always wonder what I could wear that would still be modest. I think I would wear Helen's little number.

Cate Blanchett. That woman cannot look bad! She's just gorgeous. Oh, and classy. I wish I looked half as beautiful as her when pregnant.

My favorite dress was the grey one worn by an Oscar carrier girl... when she stood to the side and the camera panned out, you could see the fabric on her tummy crinkle as she breathed... straight, crinkle, straight, crinkle, straight, you get the idea.

And I liked the Juno writer, Diablo, pulling her too-short-slitted scarf dress down everytime she took a few steps. Poor girl.

And I ADORED Nicole Kidman's necklace... talk about ooh la la!

I liked Keri Russell's. And although it was mentioned that Calista Flockhart is looking strange these days, her dress was beautiful. Wolfgang Puck looked stunning wouldn't you say? It was very confusing to see him on the red carpet in his chef attire. It was almost as if the chef had to run out to his car because he forgot his colander and got caught in the paparrazzi craze on his way back in to the kitchen. Was there a reason for that that I missed? And one more thing...Was Michael Moores wife serious? Just sayin...

Me too! Hey, we voted that night and all in my house agreed. My mom said she didn't like the mermaid scale look, hah! You're just jealous mom, that you can't look so gorgeous like a mermaid!

Divine!

I also loved Heidi Klum.

well, all the women in my house agreed. Matt voted for Heidi Klum.
