It looks like there might also be some hot air balloon launches at the Provo balloon launch!
The balloons don't have to be red. Actually, according to Claire, Steph's favorite color is green and Christian's is orange.
If you are hosting a public balloon launch in your area, will you post your info in the comment section here?
Thank you so much.
Kisses.

My sister and I will be going to the Provo Temple at 6:00. Anyone is welcome to join us there.
I know that Bunnie and the YW are doing an "I Love Lucy" edition at Bunnie's house.
I would like to meet togther and launch balloons for steph and christian on saturday along with everyone else. I thought we could meet at Central school playground with balloons at 7:45pm to 8:15pm. If you need more information about the ballon launch you can email me at lorrirae@yahoo.com
c jane,
I only know you and you sister from your blogs. I keeping thinking about what happened and what it means to Stephanie and her family. My heart aches for kids that will miss their parents terribly for quite awhile. It also aches for the time that Christian and Stephine will miss with their kids. I hope you take tons of pictures and write down all the things that their kids say. I can't imagine what it would be like to wake up and realized how much time you missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Hot air balloons at Kiwanis Park? That's terrific! Think of all the wishes they will hold!
Oh, I second that thought on all of the missed details of your childrens' lives that go on for awhile without you. I unexpectedly landed in the hospital for 3 weeks when I had two young children and it nearly killed me not being involved in their day to day happenings. I was conscious most of the time but too ill to have them come visit much at all. It is absolutely heart-wrenching.
So, yes, details, details, details all recorded for them will help in healing. I'm sure you were already planning that, but I wanted to become the second "out of the mouth of two witnesses." :-)
We're praying for everyone. Love the updates.
If there are any Nie readers in Southern Utah - we will be launching balloons at the Coral Canyon Park on the hill (Highland Parkway) at 6pm Saturday.
Thanks for the up-dates, Courtney. Our prayers continue to be with you. Give our love to your family.

Thank you to those willing to get together! I keep getting e-mails from people wondering about other people out there in their area who might want to join up.
If there are any other Chicagoans looking to balloon it up in Nie's honor, contact me at missusubATgmailDOTcom. We can find a central location.

C Jane - thank you again for taking the time to keep us all updated. The friends of mine who frequent your blog and Nienie Dialogues agree that we can't stop thinking about Christian, Stephanie and the Kinneard Family. We appreciate the updates. They keep us from going crazy too. It is inspiring to see how far the concern and love for nie reaches (see Katja's comment above). As for my favorite Nie posts see below:

I like this one because of the "minding our own beezwax" comment:

Love the sense of humor that seems to exist in all members of the Clark Family.
We are having a Balloon launch at Kiwanis Park in Provo. We are going to be congregating in the north east end close to the pavilion at 5:45
This is turning out to be huge! there at a lot of people planning to come.
These people are loved!
For anyone in the San Diego area - we will be at the beach - La Jolla Shores. Since letting go of balloons in the state of CA is illegal, we will be sending our wishes off in the ocean - Message in a Bottle! If you would like to join, please comment on my blog for details! Blessings to Stephanie & Christian!!!
Denae- thanks for the update I am planning on attending with my children-

Denae,
Sounds like your idea is a big hit. We have had some that want to do a more formal get together so we are planning on 6 at Kiwanis. Maybe you could give me a call and we could coordinate our efforts about getting the word out. Cjane will be posting this on her blog. Give me a call 310 - 7304
Oh, this is stephanie and courtney's brother Jesse.
Any mesa locations?
Geez I wish I'd read this earlier! Geo and all you other Provo lovelies keep it real for me. I'll be there in spirit. This little one has me strapped for spontaneity so I can't make it. Sending my wishes from home.
aloha.
First of all, thank you for being such a great organizer, updater, caregiver, comedienne and all around good gal. Like so many others I am praying for Christian and Stephanie. I have never had the pleasure of meeting Stephanie in person, even though I read her blog (and the rest of her fam's blogs) on a regular basis. I do, however know the Nielson family from living in their ward when Christian was a teenager.
I know the chances are probably slim, but if anyone from Maui (or visiting this week) would like to meet with me, I am planning on tossing a fresh flower lei into the ocean with inspirational words attached, for Stephanie. Since I live on an island, a ballon flying out to sea is dangerous to the delicate eco-system.
Anyway, ( I'm really not a tree hugger) the lei seemed appropriate for the natural beauty (inside and out ) of Stephanie Nielson. In addition, I will also be tossing a lei in memory of Doug. You see, we live in a very small world. Doug's nephew is my husband's employee and his mom, who is Doug's sister, Pamela Williams, is in my ward (I was her visiting teacher). I have heard many good things said about Doug and was so saddened by his passing.
Just in case anyone would like to meet me, I am planning on being north of the Wailea Marriot, on the beach walk near the outcropping of lava rocks at 2pm Saturday.
(sorry for the extra long post)
if anyone is interested in joining me & my family in tracy, ca, email me at sugarcitylynne@gmail.com and we can coordinate...
I am having one at The discovery park in Pleasant Grove We are meeting between 5-6 I have ordered 60 balloons but feel free to bring you own if you would like! I also ordered one white balloon and will be having a moment of silence for Doug K. Email me if you want more info or have questions I will have a jar for donations and some stuff to add messages! My email is kkresser85@gmail.com
Aloha~
I have added Christian & Stephanie's names to the prayer roll at the Laie, Hawaii Temple.
The lei is a great idea, since ballons are not the best here in our islands.
Both families continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
Jane
I will be holding a balloon launch in Burley, Idaho near the main boat docks (by the golf course) on the Snake River, 6pm Saturday.
I will be letting one balloon go with a wish for each of the children, Stephanie, Christian and also in memory of Doug.
Balloons flying over the Snake will be a beautiful reminder of the love and well wishes our Heavenly Father has for us.
We will also be meeting at the Temple grounds here in Mesa, AZ on Saturday! Love to have anyone who would like to come!!!!
We let ours go at 5 (here in LA) Thanks for letting us be a part of it all. xoxo
I can't find an update on Stephanie and Christian anywhere. I have recently become aware of this wonderful couple and can't get them out of my mind. Are they doing ok today?
