Nie Nie Day Goes BYU

This Saturday will kick off BYU's undefeated, BCS-bound, glorious football season, and I am about to make it even better by giving you the chance to bid on a BYU helmet and/or football signed by the entire 2008-09 roster. As you know, proceeds will go to helping out my sister and brother-in-law who are also avid Cougar fans. Think of bidding for the greatest Cougar fan among us and rise and shout out a bid via my comments. Here is how:

Please place your bid by leaving a comment with your Bid Amount in the comments section of the item you are bidding on. For the helmet bid for item #1, for the football bid for item #2.

Following the close of the auction, the winner will pay for their item via the Stephanie and Christian PayPal account. The winner will then forward the PayPal receipt email to cjanemail@gmail.com with their mailing address. I will then contact the person who donated the item and give them the winner's shipping address and email to send the item.

Please bid in increments of one dollar. The auction will end at Midnight (MST) on Sunday, August 31.

See what my SIL Lisa with major hook-ups is auctioning here. It's so cool that it's getting harder and harder to breathe.

More auctions at Design Mom.

And thanks to all the bidders and the auctioneers out there! We love you!

How great it is to live in Provo/Orem! Seems like there's a lot of wonderful experiences going on that only Heavenly Father would provide. So many blessings, so much love. I'm glad the kids are doing well and that you are also. We're newly weds and college kids, so we can't give money, but if you need a baby sitter, I can do! Or if they want play-mates, I've got a lot of nieces and nephews! Let us know!! Thanks for keeping us all up to date.

The Lord will provide.

I ran across this conference talk by Elder Maxwell druing some personal scriptue study this month, and thought it so applicable to the current situation that you find yourself in, and honestly the challenges that we all confront from time to time during our journey.

Perhaps this will bring additional comfort to you as it has to me.

I can't bid because we are currently wondering how in the world we will pay all our bills. I desperately want to help. I want to do SOMETHING. So, I want to give the kids a few pictures my kids have colored for them. I also want to give Ollie a Buzz Lightyear gun (if that's Ok with you and Chup of course). I live in Orem and as I mentioned earlier (not sure if you read it or not), I will be sending home some favorite CDs with your nieces soon. My sister teaches music at their school. I don't have your address or even know your last name. I'm a stranger so you probably don't want to give it to me. We could meet at BYU. Please email if you can: Natersmommy@comcast.net

I know many of us wish we could give a winning lottery ticket. Blessings, Karma, and all sorts of cosmic goodness to Eric Pearson.

I'm wishing, wishing, wishing I could bid... I have been under a rock, apparently, and just heard about Stephenie & Christian. I have been reading EVERYTHING I can about them and their family since I found out. Thank you so much for letting us all know how things are going. Our thoughts and prayers are constantly with them and all of you. Since I am a stranger, you probably won't want to take me up on it, but if there is ANYTHING at all I could do to help, please email: drysdalefam at gmail dot com. I am late for the auction thing, but I am trying to come up with something good to auction on my blog.
We are praying for you.

Hey-this comment is for cjane and anyone else who can help me (since I know cjane is up to her eyeballs right now and I'm sure it's tough to keep up with email....

A friend of mine from Alaska wants to send the kids a care package, but I don't know cjane's NEW address at the retro house (I only have the old one).

If anyone knows it so I can pass it on, please email me at TheBrannonClan@hotmail.com

(I'm a companion from the mission field...she knows me...I'm not a wierdo...serious.)

I worked as a nurse in the burn trauma ICU in Salt Lake City. I have seen the sorrow, the pain, and the miracles that follow a traumatic burn injury. There is great hope for your loved ones; the scars will never overshadow the power of the love and service that has been generated in their behalf.

If I understand correctly, your sister and brother-in-law are being treated in Arizona? If they ever wish to transfer to Utah (closer to home? maybe... I don't know where they live) or if you are in need of any professional guidance, second opinions, or burn victim support (short or long term), I can place you with the right contacts at the burn unit in SLC. My email is kikboxchik620@yahoo.com.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

cjane, I'm all curious about Gigs. How's he doing? Does he miss his siblings? Do they miss him? Do they get together often? It's one of the questions that my mind tosses about all day long.

When you get time (ha!), I'd love a Gigs update. Can we talk Lucy into blogging, too???

Aprilyn said...

I've also been thinking about cute little Gigs. Yesterday, I looked behind our TV cabinet and found a forgotten toy that would be so great for Gigs. It's Baby Tad and it sings songs and it's really cute. Can I just set up a place in the Wilk where I can put stuff for the kids? :)

I was too late to get in on the auction action, but I have set up a blog in honor of Nie and Christian to help raise some money for them by selling custom headers. Check it out here: WWW.headersfornienie.blogspot.

Gigs is doing awesome. He is with his siblings every day. He spends time ordering Lucy around.

Thanks for asking!

Now, is anyone going to outbid my dear Eric? There is still time left. Auction closes on Sunday night!

Ma Fitz said...

Thank you for the Gigs update. I feel so much better now!

I'm still waiting for Lucy's blog to appear, though. :-)

Our prayers are with you and your family. Our family had an exprience on a comercial airline that may of resulted in perhaps the same experience you are going through. In dealing with the post trama of our event I found myself @ Barnes & Noble looking through the self help section. I read plenty of back covers in search for something that I might connect with. I found The Burning Within by Ranelle Wallace. I decided not to take it with me and left with something else. A few days later while at work I recognized a lady at the reataurant that I worked at at the time and to my suprise it was the lady on the back of one of those books I was looking through. It was Rannelle and her kids. We connected immediately she gave me a copy of her book and comforted me with some very powerful and kind words. Her story is amazing, the situation her and her husband were in are very similar to the challenges you and your family are going through right now. Ranelle is a Utah native living in Eagle Mountain Utah. I would encourage any one reading this to pick up this book, it will help you further empathise with the challenges of a burn victim and it will bring comfort to those that are directly or indirectly affected by this situation. You can also visit www.near-deathexperience.com/walace.html or goggle search ranellewallace.
