My beloveds,
I am going on a week-long blogging hiatus. Chup says I am not allowed to do any computer-related task until I can successfully answer questions like "What day of the week is it today?" or "Who is the president of the United States?" or even, "When was the last time you showered?"
Although, look for something marvelous to be posted here on Thursday.
I don't use "marvelous" lightly.
Mucho Amour,
c jane

137 Pieces of Opinion:
Dear C Jane. That picture rocks.
That's all.
Oh, that is to be commended. I have been feeling a pulling away from the computer lately, and have been re-evaluating. Actually, I have about 30 posts sitting in my reader that I have purposefully pushed aside today. But since I just finished my Bachelor Review that I am committed to, and I just saw your post at the top, I knew I couldn't pass it up.
:)
Have a great week!
you look amazing!
and please contact me about the art i have for auctioning off for Nie! i emailed youall a bit ago :)))
much love

Oh noooooo, say it isn't so! What am I going to do every morning when I wake up and drink my cup of coffee. Darn it, this is going to be hard! Can't wait to see you back online!
If anyone deserves a break it is you. enjoy!
Chup is a wise man! Try to take some time for yourself. I'm worried about you.
(I know you have a lot of family, but remember we're here if you need us!)
good girl!!
you will be missed but take care of your self and family!
We used to never have computers.... Now we are all addicted!
I will miss you!! Have fun, soak in the tub with your little chief and enjoy.

Love your earrings. I need a pair of those
You will be missed...enjoy!
Oh how I will miss you, but completely understand. Now go get to answering those questions correctly so you can come back to us!
That is a smokin picture!
That is good that you are taking a week off. Keeping up an award winning blog almost every day has to be taxing!
Now, it sounds like you shouldn't even be reading any of our comments.
We will all be ready in a week to laugh hysterically when you come back.
(And we will curiously look forward to Thursday)
Have a good week off!
you LOOK marvelous...
WHAT?! I will miss your posts...thankgoodness it's only until Thursday!
BY the way, love that picture of you!
PS: Don't worry, sometimes I ask those exact questions to myself.
Enjoy your hiatus!
enjoy it! (no pun intended ;-)
Happy blogiday.
But will you be allowed to read this? Will you be using the time to spice up your home I wonder.
Thanks Courtney, We will miss U but enjoy your time away from the keyboard....get a manicure! Hugs Donna
Enjoy your " sabbatical" we will miss you. Wait, how the heck will I be able to make it thru the day without my daily dose of wisdom? Chup.... our fate is in your hands! BUT..... you're not going to see this until you come back...."{
You go girl. I need to do that as well. And boy do you look great!!!Love that wallpaper too-Cant wait for Thursday
Love this photo!!! Have a good rest dear. And do something 'spicy' so you can report back to us and inspire us.
Happy Break!
I'm totally selfish and don't want you to leave. Because then I won't get my CJANE fix.
However, I can spare a little generosity and extend to you that well wish.
I had to take a break for awhile, too. Deleted my old blog. Waited. Started over. And now am very much happy with my blogging life.
P.S. In an effort to speed up your return, it is TUESDAY. The man is Barack Obama. And go shower. NOW.
:)
Have a great week!
I dare you to get a new and sassy haircut! Something smokin' hot!
Have a great time off, see ya when we see ya!
Have a nice break! I love the picture. It's Spicy!

Good for you--go, and enjoy. Yup, we'll be here when you get back but I for one will enjoy thinking of you having one less thing on your to-do list for a week as I read through my morning blogs.
you will most certainly be missed!!! But PLEASE while you are away, remember how very much we love you and do something everyday for yourself. promise!!!! Love ya tons
Tif
Take a nice bubble bath and eat some chocolate...everyday!!! We'll miss you!
I was worried that "30" meant 30 Days of no Cjane. I may have gone all bucky on you, but a week, I can wait!
(btw, Tuesday, Obama, today) there, you can come back now. We can always help when you ask! :)
Enjoy your "unplugged" time!
Oh how you will be missed! And I LOVE the pic! BTW this is my first comment but have been a reader for awhile. You are an amazing person!
Our loss, but absolutely to your credit. From reading between the lines from a few posts, it sounds like this is a really stressful time for you, which is totally, totally understandable. Some of us feel that way in winter even when we don't have the major ebb and flow of emotional events you've had on your hands.
Enjoy the rest. Take care of yourself. Put your oxygen mask on. You deserve it.
Enjoy your break - and I LOVE the picture!
That picture of you is awesome! What a hottie! :) No wonder why Chup requested for you to take a week off...enjoy your time! And Mindy here we come!
Hugs
You'll be missed! Love the picture!
Hey everyone,
This the site for the most current article in the AZ Republic that came out yesterday about Stephanie-
http://www.azcentral.com/style/fashion/articles/2009/01/26/20090126Stephanie0126.html
YEA! For you and Chup ~ enjoy your time off.

BTW - Love the picture!
Enjoy your week! <3
Enjoy :)
cool pic
Clearly (by the picture), you have found your spice. Enjoy your break!
Funny, I was just this morning plotting my own e-hiatus. I think there is a lot of that going around these days...people feeling way too plugged-in, and then pressure to plug others into their lives through their blogs, etc. I have made a hiatus exception for checking in to your blog and Nie's, though I will try to limit my checks to once a day...hard to do! Looking forward to the fabulousness of Thursday.
When do think this whole story(you &NIE) will be on Oprah??? I am sure it's already in the works. If it isn't it should.
You can do whatever you want.
You're Cjane.
Enjoy your break! You deserve it! (I'll just have to read your archives to keep myself busy...)
cutest picture EVER. how in the world can people pull off that color lipstick? i would look awful in it but you ROCK it, sista.
You're no good to any of your loved ones if you aren't good to yourself once in a while. Go on and relax. Take some time for yourself. We will all be waiting here for you when you get back. We love you, and your spirit but your family needs you more than we do, and if you don't take a breather now, YOU won't have "YOU" either. Take care. Get refreshed, and your bearings straight....Big Hugs We'll all bear here when you need us...Love You
you deserve a break!
Is that a Vogue cover?! That picture is smokin' hot! I've got to get myself some of that red lipstick. Have a wonderful productive week....
HOT PIC! Have a good blog vaca!
gorgeous photo.
I take week-long bloggin breaks all the time. Difference is, I'm usually not too terribly missed. :)
Enjoy your break, lady. :)
i miss you already.
Oh Cjane! We will miss you! Although I am addicted and sad about this, I do understand. :)
Take care.
Spicy picture!!! Enjoy your Hi8us!! We all need a break once in a while.
I don't think I can function without reading a new post by you until Thursday! I do hope you enjoy your shower though :)
Good for you Miss Courtney! You look sassy in that picture. Can't wait to check back on Thursday! Have fun!
Awwww! I miss you already!!! :(
But it's perfectly understandable dearest C-love. Be well and take care of yourself.
& oh yes, that photo is truly wondrous!
You will be greatly missed while you are away. I just ordered your book at Amazon, hopefully it comes soon so I can get my Cjane fix while you are away spending time with the Chief.
What an awesome photo! (And for some reason, not sure why--it reminds me of that movie "Hope Floats." Yup, I'm weird lol!) ANYWAYYY, I hope you have a wonderful "recharge" time! Just don't forget to come back, ok? Hugs, Lori
I fully support you on the little Hi8Us thingy.
Love the picture. Is this what Chup had in mind: http://organizeddoodles.blogspot.com/2009/01/blogging-addiction.html
When I saw this doodle oh how I laughed!!
We'll definitely miss you but you sure do deserve a break! I heart this picture btw.

C Jane--looks like a blonde NieNie in the picture! Such a beautiful family! Inside and out!...oh and have an excellent week...
You are fab in the photo. Have a good break and hopefully a long shower! You'll be missed, see you when you get back!
Haha, I love it. Enjoy your break :)
Can't wait for the something marvelous...
Love the picture. And I can't wait til Thursday. What will I do until then?
Good for Chup - you deserve a break from the blogosphere! =) We'll miss you though!
We'll miss you terribly, but enjoy yourself! And please tell Nie that we all love her and are still praying for her.
You are missed already! :)
I hope you have a wonderful time during your Hi8us----please give Stephanie a gentle hug from all of us. It is wonderful to have her back writing and sharing. I pray she knows just how much so many care about her and all that she is going through.
Teresa
Thursday... the possibilities are endless. Until then mi amour...until then.
Nie's blog made me adore her beyond all words today. Can't believe how FAR she has come. Miraculous.
Go on some dates, get a few pedicures and cuddle with hubby & baby.
Enjoy C Jane, right?
I think that's about to happen here too...
Have fun!
Tease! t.x
Try not to enjoy the break too much...Although well deserved, life would be a tad boring without c.jane
You look awfully SPICY in that picture!
Have a great "vacation" and I'll look forward to Thursday's post!
The kids are in Arizona with Mr. Nielson (I just read Nie Nie's post) and Chup wants you to step away from the keyboard. Sounds like a wonderful week for some Courtney/Chup time!
Enjoy!
Good Luck with that!
Happy time off--but, take it because YOU WANT TO.
L-O-V-E the walls and your pretty red lips in that picture. You look hot. Enjoy your time off.
C Jane,
Hey--did you know that you site Mom Logic has anti-Bush stuff on it? I just thought that your famiy might not want to advertise for that type of thing--I know that Nie Nie has supported Bush. Well, I thought you might want to check into it.

Hurry back.
Is it possible that I saw Claire and Jane in the SLC airport on Saturday? I think I saw them walking side-by-side and wanted to talk to them but had to catch my flight.
You've got fans all over the place!
Great idea. And in the meantime I think u should stop by my blog. It's sure to make you smile at least once..and that's a guarantee! *wink* love ya friend!

Courtney, I hope your hiatus is going well! I selfishly miss you!
I don't know where else to post this info since Stephanie's "comments" feature is turned off, so here goes!
Another reminder to readers about more news on Christian and Stephanie in the AZ Republic this past Monday.
Here is the link:
http://www.azfamily.com/news/local/stories/mesa-local-news-012709-survivors-moving.d35c7ca.html
Also tonight (Tuesday) there was a news story on Phoenix's Channel 3.
Here is a link to the AZfamily.com story with the video (a couple of minutes) and then directly below there is another link for "uncut raw footage" which has a 20-minute interview with Christian at the family home while the movers are packing up the Nielson's possessions. The qustions asked by the reporter made me a little nervous, but Christian graciously responded to each and every question. It is so nice to see Christian looking like he is on the road to recovery.

OK girl. It's January something, the Pres. is Barrack Obama (don't blame me, I voted for McCain!) and you took a shower last night! Right after you updated the blog (this is to be used as a standard answer, whenever the question arises).
Now you're caught up. Can you come back?
:D
Alright. Fine. You can have your four day hiatus. I guess you deserve it. After all, you HAVE been the primary care taker of four children ages 7 and under for the past five months... plus one Mr. Nielson.
So go enjoy yourself CJane! But don't go too crazy and forget about your completely addicted blogger audience. We NEED you! We love you! You rock our blog lovin' world!
...Is it Thursday yet?
Find a jacuzzi, get a massage, eat Mexican, stay naked at home.
In other words...ENJOY!
We'll miss you. Enjoy your (much deserved) break.
BTW, I have never thought freckles looked as good on anyone as they do on you. You are so adorable!
C Jane,
I'll take the anti-Bush stuff off your hands. He can burn in Hell.
I LOVE that picture!!! You look so cute, and i love the shirt! I'm a big fan of polka dots. lol Look forward to your next post!
I want to take a guess at the marvellous news. I'm thinking either your sister is having twins or your are pregnant again. Am I right?
saw another article (in case you didn't know) - http://www.azfamily.com/news/homepagetopstory/stories/mesa-local-news-012709-survivors-moving.d35c7ca.html
Courtney,
Your dear readers crack me up. That is a lovely picture, but it was taken in 2007 and they keep complimenting you on your "new" haircut!!
Azucar, are you off your meds?
When you get back, iGoogle does a great homepage with a ginormous clock/calendar in the center so you can use a computer AND know what day it is! Take that, Chupster.
I have been quietly following your blog for months now, since I found out about the accident.
I haven't ever commented.
I pray for your family everyday and your story and blogs inspired me to start my own blog!
I have wanted to help in some way, but haven't known how.
I think I have a REALLY GREAT idea. Please email me when you are back from your Hi8US and we can talk about it in further detail. You just might like it! Thank You.
email: morrisbunch@gmail.com
Have a great break! You'll be missed.
I love that picture!
Have a great time during your break! And...umm...I hate to mention this...but...The site MOM LOGIC just doesn't seem to fit. Please check into it..thanks!
I hope you are using this time to put the lotion on your skin. Because I need the suit to fit.
She "says" she's on hiatus...but let it be known, she's training for Dancing With The Stars.
Donny almost outed her too.
They can't get enough of us Mormons!
'Member when our stake president asked us to stop saying that things suck?
this has got to be killing you not even to read our crazy comments!
that puts a lot of pressure on your little sis to keep us hydrated with wit, love and sarcasm!
enjoy it!
Mom Logic is an ad network.
You don't get to choose what is and is not on most networks when you accept ads.
Dear Auntie Annie,
Why, I haven't been able to afford meds in 8 years!
Hey C-Jane. ENjoy the break, much deserved. Love the photo btw ... so beautiful.
THAT, my dear C Jane....is a fantastic photo!
Oh and I wanted to comment on your cute shirt!!!
I am not trying to sound mean, but why are fundraisers still being held for Nie, while her husband is buying her a $400 vacuum? Just an honest question.
Right, because as we all know, victims of tragedies such as this ought only be allowed to spend so much. For instance, $60 at the MOST on a vacuum cleaner. Or, better yet, they should get one from goodwill. Everyone donates appliances to goodwill that still work.
The fundraisers are being held so we can get them their boat, of course!
Don't worry, it's just a picture of a Dyson, but no one has the heart to tell Steph.
SHHHH, IT'S A SECRET.
My sister-in-law Cambria Evans designed that print in the background!
Shooter...
Since they have millions of dollars worth of debt that they do not deserve...Mr. Nielson is not allowed to buy his wife something nice????
My goodness, they need some normalcy. They need to go out, on occasion, and buy something they need. They need to go out, on occasion, and buy something frivolous they DON'T need.
Just like the rest of us.
I'm quite positive the mounting debt doesn't escape their minds.
But I'm also quite positive it's nice to pretend, for just a little while, it's not there.
And I'm quite darn sure they freakin' deserve whatever they want.
Um, their plane CRASHED, remember? We need to get them a new plane. Not a boat.
Also, I would rather live in debtor's prison than without my Dyson. Holla.
I am not saying that they don't deserve something nice. But obviously they don't have a source of income right now, so are they using donated funds to treat themselves? That is my only concern.
Shooter--
So what if they use some of the donated money to treat themselves? Or their children? Or their family that has so generously stepped up?
I don't mind one bit if they spend the money I've donated on decorating their new home.
It's for them. To use at their discretion and whim.
I didn't donate with stipulations.
It kind of loses the meaning of giving when you do that.
It would tickle me pink to know that my money went not only to help pay some of their medical debts but that it also bought Nie a new hat, Mr. Nielson a new pair of those cool sunglasses, Claire some new paints, Jane some new dress up clothes, Ollie anything Spiderman or Gigs a new newsies cap (or maybe some of that dog food he likes so much).
Let them enjoy.
I disagree (obviously). The stated premise behind the fundraising was to help pay medical bills and provide necessities for their family. I hardly consider a $400 vacuum a "necessity".
Shooter--
Then don't give. You have no idea why, where, how or when those funds are being used.
I think you are totally crossing a line. It's insulting and hurtful. Even to me. I can't imagine how they might feel when they read this.
As someone who HAS donated, I think it's a perfectly fair question to ask. Would you give blindly to a charity who said they weren't going to disclose what the funds were being used for?
When I chose to donate money to this family, I gave my money lovingly and without a thought as to what it would go for.
Yes, I assumed it would be put toward medical expenses but I have no problem with them using it for whatever they choose to.
When you give away something, it is no longer yours. You don't have the right to tell them how to spend that money.
What if they take half of the donated money and put it toward medical bills and use the other half to live off of? What exactly is your problem with this? Is it the amount the vacuum cost? Or that he purchase it at all?
And, forgive me, because I am usually not so hostile and I don't know how to word this any other way, but you have quite a bit of nerve to come here and criticize a family that has survived pure Hell on earth. What gives you the right?
I didn't criticize, I simply asked a question that I think I have a right to ask since I HAVE given money. I think you are taking this way too personally.
It's not the purchase of a vacuum that bothers me, it's that if I were buying a vacuum with money someone had donated to me, I would be inclined to go with something a little less expensive.
I disagree.
Maybe I am taking it too personal. I am just shocked that anyone would even feel a need to question something like that.
You may be better off not donating in the future to something unless you get a strict set of guidelines/rules as to what the money will go for.
CJane,
I apologize for making your comment section a not-so-enjoyable experience.
I am done.
So, Chup....Did you catch the Jazz game last night?
So sad... we'll miss you!
love the picture, btw.
CJane - miss you!
Jaime - you rock!
Shooter - I would not go there if I were you.
Since you gave money I can understand your concern.
Your first mistake was assuming that the money to buy the vacuum came from donated funds. Maybe someone gave Mr. Nielson some money as a gift to buy a vacuum. Who knows, who cares, does it really matter?
Your second mistake was making a negative comment on this awesome blog!
This is what you should have done instead...
First, read this:
http://blog.cjanerun.com/2008/10/to-put-near-le-toilet.html
Second, think about this... I don't know many people that do not consider a vacuum a necessity. If Nie want's to spend $4000 on a vacuum, it really doesn't matter. The bottom line is that vacuum or not, they still need money to pay their medical bills.
Third, Nie Recovery can mean a lot of different things. Healing is both physical and spiritual. If you haven't noticed, they are going through a rough time. Maybe Nie & family will need a cruise to help them heal. If so most people would be willing to help pay for that, including myself.
O.K. I read you - a lot. But never comment-sorry. I was watching Extreme Home Makeover the other day and had this overwhelming urge to somehow get Ty to come do up Stephine and Mr. Nielsons new house. How can we do that? They would so come do their house if one of you nominated them!!!! Please nominate them??? I would even bet that if they were nominated it would be the highest watched show in EHM history! I don't know what their new house is like but Ty could make it oh-so-perfect-just-for-them in his special Ty way! Don't ya think?
Cara,
You are so sweet to think of the Nielsons. However, since they've been so well taken care of by family and dear friends, we'd hate to see another family who might be more in need of an EHM go without. The family is happy with their lovely digs.
Thanks!
cg6
P.R.
i really love he picture!
Ok... come back now. Please
Hi C Jane!
Love the photo. How do you get your pictures to post so big?
