Way back last year Jane asked me when I was going to be spicy again. It became a personal theme: 2009, Spicy One More Time. And I wanted to record that The Spice has begun via paint chips in my living room.
But before we start that we've got to make the wallpaper disappear and resolve to paint over the birch paneling.
Choices, choices.

127 Pieces of Opinion:
Bottom Row. 4th from the left.
I totally agree with Jaime. The fourth from the left. I LOVE sage on walls. It's very soothing.
I just voted...you're kicking some major bootie now sister! Good Luck! (Doesn't it mean you are dropping some major weight when your skirt falls down? You're suppose to say...loud enough for all to hear..."I guess I have lost weight, this skirt fit a few months ago???")
i totally go for ay thing blue..i am all for the blue hues
oh..bad rhyming
Oh please don't paint over birch paneling or brick! These choices are always regretted! Any natural material with visual depth is missed when flattened out with paint. I'm an architectural designer - I see this all the time.
LOve sage to:) Please pot pictures when you are done. Sounds like alot of fun going on at the retro house.
Good for you. I plan to spice up my life/house this year as well.Have fun.
I like the sage, but DON'T paint over that paneling. You will regret it, and will NOT like the result. Paint the walls, and then see how the paneling will look new. If you REALLY hate the paneling--take it down and paint. Sorry!
I'm with Becky...don't paint over birch paneling!
Do anything else you want to do but save the birch paneling. I painted over my paneling 10 years ago...it felt good for about a year. Get someone to help you change up your space in other ways. You'll be glad you did.
I agree with Becky, don't paint over the wood, once it's gone you'll never get it back again, and that kind of high quality paneling is back in style - especially with the new retro movement. PS -I wish my skirt was loose enough to fall off.
take my word on this--when it comes to wallpaper peeling, please rent or buy a wallpaper steamer. it is totally worth it. i wished we had done that to begin with.
I'm all about NOT painting over the birch paneling. As for painting the walls...sounds like a good plan. (I'm a "blue" person myself...)
=)
PS. Whoever owned my home before painted over used brick, and it is sad, sad, sad. =(
You go girl.
2009 = COLOR!!!!
One more vote for NOT painting over the birch paneling!
I'm all for Spice in 2009 too. And I Love all of your color choices. Maybe you can find one that will compliment the the birch paneling. :-)
I am getting ready to paint too. Good luck and hope you find just the right spice!
Ditto on the birch paneling - don't paint over. Consider lighter varnish, if anything? Painted wood never matches the stucco walls and the wood just bleeds through the paint, no matter how many layers you apply.
Instead embrace the wood for what it is? Nice mantra too!
I'm with everyone else...don't paint the paneling! I like the sage though and it would probably go nicely on the walls near the paneling. :)
yay for painting. I've been trying to convince my boyfriend and roommates that we should paint our living room... without much luck. It really does add a lot of character for so little cost.
Paint, Paint and more paint. One can never get enough! I painted over my Birch kitchen cabinets and WOW they look better then before. The kitchen brighter and less drab! Depends on your space and lighting, I suppose.
i love that bright blue in the middle sort of like the color in your header.
I am loving lime-ish green right now. A friend of mine painted their office in this color and every time I go in there, I want to eat the walls.
How's that for spicy?
Have fun spicin' it up!
I seem to always mess up when I pick colors. They never match how they are really going to look on the wall. My living colors were a totaly accident, but I fell in love with it. The problem is, picking the colors in the kitchen to blend in with living room without copying it (yet matching cupboards) is hard. You can see my living room in my Christmas post if you want to see. I have two different colors. I about had a heart attack though when I first painted it. I was like "what is this??!". Ha ha
I would do one of the neutral tones of beige over the birch and use one of the greens as an accent color. In fact the last green on the bottom row looks A LOT like the green I used on my walls. It was a behr color as well and I LOVE it! Have fun :-)
Behr paints...Restful, Rejuvenate, and Outback. I have all three and love them! Rejuvenate is my favorite. (Outback has more yellow in it than the paint card looks.)
Maybe you could sand and refinish the paneling? Sounds like good quality wood. I painted over our cheapy 70's paneling though and have never regretted it. Anything would look better than that stuff!
Is there any way to remove the paneling and resurrect it as a rocking horse or pie safe?
What about CORAL? Or BUTTERSCOTCH?
I had a dream about Nie lastnight. She was walking and smiling and her hair was in a liiiiittle short ponytail.
http://amazingsix.blogspot.com/2008/05/goofing-off.html
Here is better link of my living room in one of pictures, but it's kind of dark in there. I didn't mean for it to be that drastic but a lot of people like it. In order to stay in in the right color pattern though, I have to follow through into the kitchen because you can see each room from each other. So I'm still deciding. I just have to GET BRAVE!!!! I won't even discuss the mix up in the boys bathroom. It just turned out bad. period. This is why I get scared to paint.
use gripper at home depot for primer--nothing else!--for sure paint the paneling---you will get a nice finished custom wood look--
Wall paper--just use wall patch product on the seams, paint gripper and then your choice of paint you willnot know there is wall paper--
I know b/c I am a professional painter--!
We have the same taste in paint colors- I have many similar paint chips in my car, waiting for my spice to kick in. Maybe you'll inspire me.
Seems you opened another can of worms with paneling and wallpaper. Be prepared for a LOT of advice. I have both in my house also but have no advice because it hasn't been touched in the 2 years we've lived here.
Good luck!
I would give my right eye for birch paneling like that. Couldn't you just send it to me? I'll send you my horrible textured drywall and you can paint all over that.
I have a green wall and LOVE IT! Soon to have a dark chocolate wall. :)
Good luck choosing your paint!
Bet you had no idea that people had such big feelings about paneling and wether to paint it or not...Whatever you do...it'll look great!
Good luck.
P.S. Skirt falling down--embarrassing but FANTASTIC!
I'm excited for your new "spicing". It seems many do not want you to paint over your paneling. I cannot offer advise on that, but if you happen to, I do have some advise there. When we painted over our kitchen cabinets the nice man at Lowe's told me to prime with oil based paint so that the color would not leak through. I thought I'd pass that on since it is soooo true and no leaking through has occurred. Have fun making a decision. I'm excited to see the results.
I love the palette you are choosing from. Soothing and beautiful colors.
you have inspired me yet again!!! You go girl spice away!!!
I love the sage too.... blue is cold and you want spicy... what no red (can you tell I'm a U fan) "}
Oh, if you paint over the wood then will retro house really be retro? Hmmmmm
Wood is always beautiful with accents... paint walls first and then if you don't like the wood paint it but I would only paint as a last resort.
Oh, just voted, you are the best!
Girl, do NOT touch that birch...it's gorgeous and makes the outside elements feel inside. I love the birch!
I LOVE paint chips, I have about 10 in my bedroom. I don't know if it'll ever get painted, but I love to look at the colors and think about it! I even have a few of the same colors picked out as you. I like the green on the bottom, either on the far right or the fourth from the left! (not that my opinion matters, but who's really does?!!)
I have to give my 2 cents because I was faced with totally 70s orange colored wood paneling in one of the rooms in my house. Good quality, but orange. My husband and I discussed how to fix it for a couple of years. Finally, bless him, he sanded it all and we stained it with a white wash stain. It's gorgeous and I'm so glad we didn't paint it. The wood grain it beautiful. I can email before and after picts.
How exciting! I love changing things up in my house. It feels refreshing! You'll have to post pics afterwards so we can see how it goes. Greens and blues are always good colors to go with! Good choices.
I live in Pleasant Grove UT, and my hubby and I always designate winter as our painting months. Since we are stuck inside anyway...might as well paint. Good timing.
I have Behr Asparagus in my living room and I LOVE it. I can't tell if that's what your green chips are but it's close.
I live in a retro house - aka 'mid-century modern' and painted over the paneling in a fit of something. I regret it. For Christmas, I asked that someone strip it - I didn't get it. I will never get it. I will have to do it myself, and it will never be the same.
Wait - so actually, are you trying to be a SPICE GIRL? Like Posh, and Baby? What could we call you, as a Spice Girl?
I painted over my wood paneling, and it looks lovely! I get so many compliments. I went with a soft green. Mmmmmmm.
Good luck with the green. I wanted to paint my bedroom a pale green and by the end of the experiment I had thirteen swatches painted on my wall. They were ALL WRONG. So I mixed up a concoction and made exactly what I wanted. It's perfect and I love it so much I'm painting my hallway bath the same color.
I painted my family room pale blue last year and that was another frustrating color experience, though not a bad as the green. (Fresh blue, but not like a baby boy's room.) Again, I finally succeeded when I made up my own color. If you take this route, just paint an index card or paper plate with your final color, take it to Home Depot and have it color matched. That way you'll have the recipe and can get as much as you want.
If you want any of my swatches let me know.
Sometimes picking out wall colors is as difficult as picking out baby names. They (paint co. people) expect us to choose a color on a little 3 inch card for our 'who knows how big' wall.
Find some great fabric and upholster some fabric panels that you can hang on the paneling. Stain the paneling a different color or hue. P.Allen Smith did some cool brick washing to create the look he wanted. It was nice
from what i see, i like the smokey teal color that is the only horizontal one. good luck!
I love the terminology--being spicy. :) What a way with words Jane has.
I like the pale blues.
I am with the "don't paint the birch paneling" crowd. Definitely take it down, freecycle it if you don't want to use it for something else. It would be fun to save for the inside walls of a backyard fort for El Chief. (cue Chup)
I love the green tones you are drawn too. However, I had something similar and it can look dark and dreary after a while if you choose too dark a shade. JMHO
http://www.roomzaar.com/rate-my-space/multigallery.esi
from HGTV Rate My Space show has some wonderful examples you can look at/get inspiration from
I swear, you've got two of the colors I chose to paint my bedroom and craft room a few years ago. Sage and kind of a pale/icy blue called Silver Strand. I can't remember the name of the green but I do know they were both Behr colours (and it looks like the chip third from the right on the bottom). So I vote for either/or. Helpful, no?
cjane one of the Spice girls? what a concept! Have you come up with a Spicy name?
My two cents:
Greens are so hard to pick and as for painting over the paneling, MANY MANY layers of primer it will take. We just took down our retro 50/60's paneling. It took me 14 years to convince my husband. I am a lover of wood, but paneling just isn't the same as a whole pine board. He is now so glad we did.
I have a suggestion for helping you chose a paint color. Benjamin Moore, as do other fine paint manufacturers have little bottles of paint for like $2.99. I bought some different greens, then ended up mixing to get my perfect shade of green (green is hard - too yellow, too gray, too blue, who knew?).
Suggestion #two is once you decide on your color paint a big board and lean it up to the walls where you will paint. Light effects the color and a larger sample will help you know whether you can live with the color before you do all the work.
Now as for red, that is an easy color to be spicy with. I love my barn red kitchen, and pine boards, not paneling. :)
Fun, Fun! Let me know if you need any help! I am probably the cheapest out there!
Cjane, I have never posted on your blog before...But after reading one of your older posts about how people post ideas that are meant to offend, I wanted to add my two bits.... I love the humor you write with. I think those that have unkind things to say need to take a chill pill and look at themselves. We are all Gods children and we all need to do what we can to make this life a happy one. I truly believe in the words of that smart little rabbit, Thumper, "If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all." So please don't feel bad the majority of us love reading your blog.
Love the new *spicy* blog header!
I'm afraid I'm with Becky about not painting over wood or brick!
But I also agree with Jaime on the colour!
Good luck being Spicy again :D
Here's my two cents on painting paneling and/or brick. I needed an inexpensive change in my family room. Taking the paneling down and putting up wallboard wasn't going to happen. I painted the paneling and have not regretted it at all. I can still change it to wallboard when I have the money. As for painting brick, I'm more nervous about that, but I say: go for it!
I have painted over lots of wood paneling and cabinets. And loved it. So there's a dissenting opinion. I'm in agreement on the oil-based primer underneath though. Can't wait to see what your spicy self picks!
Thank God it was winter when your skirt fell off!
Sound like fun! I love painting! Good luck with all of your choices!
Courtney, I too, innocently blogged about painting wood paneling a few months ago and received a DELUGE of feedback. In the blog community, painting over wood is right up there with breastfeeding, circumcision, and diapering. Who knew?
Welcome to a world of pain. (But I love your colors, for what it's worth.)
anyway who drops a skirt (accidentally of course)in a crowded room deserves to win something- I voted. And it looks like you are winning.
You wont regret painting the paneling! I swear paneling was meant to be painted! ;)
Your wording is beautiful, your heart is pure and whole, and I love your example to family with all the bitter trials that have been and trials to be endured. You and the hearts of the "Retro House" make me smile, and I appreciate the happiness and goose bumps on my arm everytime I read from your positive and true hearted blog!
It probably doesn't qualify as spicy, but that cream in the middle of the bottom row is speaking to me. See how it glows?
So many spicy choices! I need to go find some spicy paint chips of my own.
I like the middle one on the bottom row. The one that looks like a pale yellow? But then I have what is called Lemon Ice on my living room walls so I'm a bit biased. I also like the second from the right on the second row the deep green. Love both of those.
If you're really going spicy...how about a great orange or awesome limey chartreuse? Or a deep pinky-red fushia? Now that's spicy!
Please please please DONT paint over the birch. That is such shame and is so cool and retro! And gives such a warm feeling. please don't
I like all the greens! Greens always make me feel like I'm outside on that first warm day of spring.
Oh and my 2 cents is to wait on the birch too, you'd be surprised what a new life it may have if the walls are a solid spicy bright color. And you can always paint it later if it still messes with your house chi!
second row, far right, looks JUST like a color that i love from sherwin-williams called "mountain air", our spare bedroom is painted this color (and i also used it in our first house), and i vow to keep it that color for our nursery (no sign of pregnancy, but i'm still vowing) - regardless of gender. =)
I hate sage.
(Is that going to the committee now?)
I came here to make a friendly comment. One of your fellow bloggers followed me to my blog, read it, and then left some major insults in my comments. They said they followed me from cjane. I guess blogging is really not about expressing yourself, your opinions on things, because if you do, there is always a lemon who has to come and make sure they tell you they think you're an idiot. That is just so sad. But there a people like that. If they don't have anything good to say, they need to stay off my page. I'm a Christian with Christian values so I am shocked to see women who go out of their way to insult people in such a way.
I saw something on one of those green decorating shows (helpful, huh??) where they actually removed the nice wood paneling and reused it for making some totally cool furniture pieces. A headboard and night stands, I think. Anyway, birch is expensive, and if it's in good shape, why make it look like drywall when that's what it's covering. You never know, you may find cash or rare artwork hidden back there... oooh, the mystery!
Removing wallpaper....uuuugh! My WHOLE house was wallpapered when I bought it. Never again do I want to see wallpaper!! Some tips..get some DIFF (from Home Depot) and a Paper Tiger. Roll the paper tiger over the wall paper to make a gazillion wholes and then saturate it with the DIFF. My friend used a clothes steamer and she said that worked really well too.
Good luck!!!
just thought you would like to know:
psychological power of blue attributes= peaceful, trustworhty, constant, orderly. Psychological power of green attributes: self-reliant, tenacious, nurturing, dependable. Resourse: Color me Beautiful book, awesome for interior decorationg too! love ashley
c jane's bringing 'spicy' back . . .
Get your spicy on
Go ahead, be gone with it
Get your spicy on
Go ahead, be gone with it . . .
sorry, i couldn't resist ;)
kathleen :)
Paneling belongs in the 70's - I like the idea another commentor had on removing it and using it for something else - bookcases, a table. Good luck with the project!
Ooooh fun colors. I totally love painting, Can I come help? I'd pick the bottom blue in the middle or the bottom green on the far right side. Can't wait to see pictures of the finished spicey wall :)
pssssst!!! one more thing..if you are interested in what the other colors mean...then click on my Luvs:0) and then my blog...leave me a comment...would love to share if your interested. ashley
I like the one in the bottom right corner (kind of looks like pea soup which I happen to really like as well!) but I think whichever one you pick is going to be looking fantabulous because you've got mad decorating skills like your sister. Close your eyes and just paint away over that birchwood paneling...you can do it!
I just started reading some of the comments and was suprised about all the voices saying not to paint the paneling...I did exactly that and I have no regrets! :-)
Love the new header Courtney! And congrats on bringin back the Spice!
go with a green :) good luck can not wait to see the new walls ;)
-jenn
and i am LOL at the bringing spicy back :)
I fourth (fifth? Five billionth??) not painting over the paneling. Wood grain is gorgeous! And retro!!
Speaking of wood: with the gorgeous orange you have going in that floor (at least in that snapshot), I'd go with green.
Oh! And you could totally stain the wood (as some other commenter mentions), but not just white or wood colored! Dark green! Light green! Blue! ORANGE!
In conclusion, wood rocks.
i'm a sage girl too... but not really that spicy, ha; so, c, you may want to go with a color other than sage:P
l,
d
Maybe they should call me Ginger Spice-I love color! Have you thought about staining that beautiful wood a really dark walnut-after stripping the wallpaper maybe something in a blue. I just did my sewing room in a light blue with a Ralph Lauren over glaze that has a bit of a sheen to it. So cool! So SPICE girl
Definitely bottom middle yellow.
I like the greens as well.
I have no doubt that you'll be spicy!
While we're on the subject of paint colors- is there any way you could find out the color blue that Nie used on her living rooms walls?-I LOVE it (and obviously a lot of other people do too, ala Cookie House Tour of the Year). I know this is probably low on the priority list right now-- but it would be great to know what shade that is.
I am surprised at everyone wanting to keep the paneling. A light bright paint color opens up a room. And I'm not sure paneling falls into the "spicy" category-- what does Jane think?
Hi,
Happy New Year!
I'm Hazel Jones and I work in a company interested in blog advertising. I found your blog engaging and I'm contacting you to ask if you are interested in blog post sponsorship.
If you are interested, kindly mail back at teamcasino[at]dcemail[dot]com, indicating the url of your blog for reference, and I'll send you back pricing details, guidelines and processes. Looking forward to doing business with you.
Sincerely,
Hazel Jones
not that you askes, but i say bottom very right. LOVE the yummy green.
Just my little tip...when I'm deciding on paint color I will pick up at least four samples of that color (they are free and the paint people WANT you to take them!) and then tape them together. This gives you a nice BIG piece to hang on your wall and stare at. Much easier to decide whats best then.
I too love the birch! Were you wanting our opinion?
Bring on the spice!
How fun to decorate (even though the decisions are HARD, in a fun way!) If you do decide to keep the birch wall, I think a very light icy blue would be a good compliment to the orange in the birch....not that I know much about design, but since blue and orange are opposite on the color wheel...or something. Anyway, I'm sure it will turn out lovely. If you do go with the ice blue color on the walls you could warm up the room with chocolate throw pillows, a warm fuzzy rug, etc...
The color I like is the only one turned horizontal. It's way retro. I also voted for your blog. After all, it's changed so many lives including mine. Why not give yourself and your family a huge pat on the back! You rock!
You simply MUST google "The Wall Wizard" for tips on how to remove wallpaper. It will save you tons of words you'll have to repent for...
I vote for the bottom right or the second row 4th from the left. If you want to paint the paneling it is really easy to antique and will add a little more depth into it. Just a little sanding and stain will do the trick or a dark glaze to put in the grooves.
Can you do more than one? You picked so many great ones. I like on the bottom row, 4th from the right and the left.
I know that probably doesn't help.
paint and slightly distress the wood for sure!
Make it Blue, any blue, I love blue!
DONT PAINT OVER THE WOOD!! SPICE UP SOME OTHER SPOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not that you need any more opinions but, Louisburg Green is an awesome Sage color from Benjamin Moore.
OMG, please do not paint the Birch! I will cry if you do!
Go with a light pretty Blue like Nies family room! Blue is my favorite color! ;-)
Have FUN!
I'm so excited about my own suggestion that I skipped over a bunch of comments (I'm bad). If someone has already suggested it...oops! I had cypress paneling that I grew to hate. Better judgement told me not to paint it (it was rough hewn, anyway). I covered the wall with fabric---sheets in this case. You have a world of options there. Any color, design, no design, stripes, dots, combination of colors (side by side or top and bottom and add a chair rail or fabric trim). The possibilities are endless. You can staple it up or use liquid starch to glue it (I'm a staple fan, myself). If the mood strikes you you could take it down and wash it if need be. I changed mine to a stripe/weave unbleached muslin.
Oh man, I've gotten myself so excited thinking of the possibilities! I need to get a life, huh? ROFL
Hope you find the perfect spice to get yourself going! :)
I just voted, and it looks to me like you are overwhelmingly the winner! Hurray!
And so sorry about the lost skirt episode! I can only imagine how flaming red your face was, as I know mine would have been!
omgosh....TEXTURE! How could I rant so without mentioning TEXTURE?! Think of it...velvet, burlap, taffeta, homespun, oilcloth, silk, cotton, spandex....(well, maybe not spandex), but you get the idea! Texture, definitely a major player in that project! :)
When you are done with your walls....could you come spice up mine?!
My daughter painted over her beautiful paneling....and no regrets. I think it's a matter of taste. If you have a retro house it might be cool to leave it....but I love the painted look over the paneling and brick. I love taupe color on brick. I know it probably means a paint job over and over when it peels(on brick)....but I think it can really dress up drab dated paneling and brick. I think it looks richer. Just my opinion.
My daughters' wood hasn't bled through at all. IT gave the wood character. Either way you go.....can be a good thing. If you choose to paint the paneling...I'd paint it the same color as the rest of the wall, even the trim. Keep the flow going. You'll be amazed at how it actually accents it without it taking over the room. Right now, it's probably a focal point. IT will be prettier not sticking out.
I love Martha Stewart paint...she puts complimentary colors/trim on the same paint sample chip, and it's the non toxic Valspar paint. She is in Lowes stores. If you have them.
Most of all, have fun!!
P.S. I voted too!
Jenny from KY!
i agree with the don't paint over the birch walls....you don't call it "retro house" without reason; not having seen your home I would guess it is a distinctive feature from yester-year
i hate wallpaper...hopefully they didn't wallpaper the ceiling too
Dont...paint...the....LOVELY....paneling...your killing me here.
I painted my dark paneling light (pickling) and matched it perfectly with my drapery fabric and I loved it...for a little while. *blush* Then I got really tired of it and wished I didn't. It's now barn red which is really a box car red and it's ok again for now. I'd say DON'T paint the birch! SAVE THE BIRCH! lol.
It's funny that people are picking out paint colors from your swatches...everyone's computer monitor is set differently and I can't imagine anyone has theirs color corrected. So what we see is nothing like what you see on the swatches. I'm sure what you've picked are all lovely, trust your gut.
Is nie nie up to looking at your swatches?
Prayers and good wishes for her, and you.
You are loved.
I say don't paint over the birch- it's gorgeous- can you find something that complements it's awesomeness??
AHHHHH!
I love the birch paneling...maybe you have one of those magic camera's though that make everything look lovely. Maybe your birch paneling is hideous...it sure is photogenic then. Can't you be spicy and have paneling too?
Your house is Retro house, the perfect hang out for birch paneling. If not I like to brighter green then.
if it were cheap basement wall paneling I'd say go ahead and paint it.. but that beautiful expensive Birch - no no no.
Take it down and give it away if you have to.
second row--third from the end. You could not go wrong with that color, and you could add virtually any to go with it...some light yellows and a cool red? Some grays and black? Brown and white? Browns and a burnt orange? Lights Tans for a beach ambiance? Good Luck!
GREEN is such a happy color. All shades. All tones. It's glorious. Gotta go with green somewhere in the house.
Same here. Bottom row, fourth from left. Great color. I have something similiar in my bathroom. I see it more as lime green, though, than sage. I spiced up our life so much when we built a new house; bright red in the bedroom (oh la la), warm terra cotta in entrance, 2 shades of orange in my art room, dark chocolate in the mud room. It's fab & makes the house so warm.
The lighter the better, and blue is really a calming color. But don't pick a cold blue. You don't want to be any colder this January it's freezing! And you should do a sage trim. That means you need a trim. Make a wood paneling trim thing horizontally and make it sage! Then the bottom can be a different color and the top can be blue! I say sage on the bottom half. Or a darker blue. But if you do two different blues you should probably trim in white. Although, that's not too spicy. Good luck!!
My vote is green. I'm lovin' your book!
I too am an architectural and interior designer and have a thought for the paneling...
Add some horizontal cross boards and vertical in between those, with some "picture framing trim" inside of that. Nice finished cabinetry look with depth. It will make a really great retro library/den wall look. Very classy and old craftmenship. Easy to do with a miter saw. (putting up birch paneling is the first step and you already have that...lucky!
Darin and Peter Nielson are my first cousins and our prayers are with you all every day. When my husband spent a long time in the burn unit following a near fatal electrocution, my dear sisters took care of my 7 children so I could be with him, and took care of all of us for the two years of recovery. You are an angel from God and your husband is too, to be so supportive and involved.
Next time I paint 6 paint swatches on every wall in my bedroom and my husband rolls his eyes, I will show him this post and remind him he has it easy!
I LOVE the 'spicy' story!!! hilarious! Glad to see you will be embracing it this year :)
Totally in love with the bottom all the way to the right GREEN....
makes me happy, but it is your home :)
Those look like the paint colors in my old retro house (which we sold and moved across the ocean). I loved them all - even painted over the lovely paneling. If you'd like to see some of them on walls, I'd gladly send you photos!!
Happy spicin' it up to you!
