In May we took our second voyage to see family in St. George. We spent most of our time in the hotel's over-sized bed and cousin's dreamy clubhouse pool. If vacations get better don't tell us, we love the desert.

In June Chup and I took a trip to London town. The night before we left, the notorious Jed Wells came over to Retro House and took family photos of us. This one is my favorite. Because who doesn't like a foot rub?
Also in June, I reunited with my brown hair. Landmark decision.

I took a blogging break in July. This photo sat on top of my blog for a month (for better or worse). I have never received more inquiries than these purple shoes--my inbox was spilling over (who knew?) You can read about them here.

It was the heat of August that tempted The Chief and I to take our show on the road. "The road" meaning the A/C- induced cool of our living room. But next year look for us in a town near you. We're the new Judds.
Stay tuned for more photos tomorrow . . .

21 Pieces of Opinion:
Love how the Chief is looking up at you in the footrub picture!
Also, what a nice spouse you are. My husband detests footrubs because he thinks feet are gross and filthy and germy. (Of course, he thinks nothing of putting suitcases/backpacks/other things that brush all over the floor and pick up germs on our bed, on our SHEETS ... ha.)
Of all the photos on your blog, I like the one of you and The Chief at the piano the very best. Thanks for posting it again.
Those are probably some of my favorite pictures ever from your blog. Good choices! Thanks again for allowing so many of us a peek at your life on this fine blog of yours. :)
beautiful photos. So...did the Chief get a cat?
I am an avid reader of your blog!!!! You have one of the most beautiful families. I love all of your spunk and style. You should come down to St. George and give me a lesson on style 101.
Those purple shoes are still awesome. Love this "year in pictures" idea.
Can't wait to see what you'll share tomorrow.
All classic Cjane photos! Now every time I look at you blog or Nie's I wonder what will appear on "Dear Cjane". I am usually right! I am predicting many will want to know about Stephanie's living room rug...like me!!
Cute family photos! Like your brown hair. Nice change :)
Happy New Year!
Beth
I nearly bought those shoes because they were on sale, but it just didn't feel right.
The purple shoes, lol, how could anyone not love those ;D
Ah.. it was a very good year...
Fabulous photos. LOVE the brown hair.
Love the family pic with the red sofa. SUPER cool. Thanks for sharing--these are great!
I love recounting your year in pictures. I love the piano picture and I ordered the shoes way back then and finally wore them on Christmas for about 15 minutes before switching to slippers :)
does this mean you're trading in the brunette for red?

It seems that the Chief spent the summer in a White onesie. And never has a plain white onesie ever been more adorable! He should be a model for the white onesie! :)
Thanks for sharing your family and photos with us. Happy New Year!
I bet that first one is making you miss your blonde hair do...mmm hmmm... those sunny highlights call to me tooo... my hair is back to its natural brown but everyday I miss my blonde... maybe today I will... oooohhhh see what you've done??? PS... there is nothing more fun to me than an awesomely lovely fluffy hotel bed. When my, now 7 yr old, was the Chiefs age we lived in Denver and we would often sneak away on a Friday night special deal to the Weston and we would pretend we were on vacation for a day. The three of us snuggled into their King Sized "Heavenly Bed" ohhh yeah... then taking bubble baths with the baby in the big round "Heavenly Bath" jet tub. Mmm... ooohhh see what you've done? LOL Have a happy day Cjane.
Ah the brown hair, still looks amazing, can't believe how different you look being brunette. And I have only just noticed it really in these review pictures!
The picture of you and your lil' one singing at the piano needs to be framed, large!! Love it!!
