The world definitely needs more post partum clothes. What are you supposed to wear when your stomach looks like a deflated ball and your boobs are suddenly giant?
Your dress is gorgeous! I'm currently pregnant with my second and I've been reading your blog thinking that you are helping me prepare for the storm that's about to come through our house! THanks! Please let us know how it all works out...I'm hoping that it gets easier! Good luck to you! And, try (yeah right!) to take care of yourself! xoxo!:) Tracie
I like to call the phase in the time-period right after I give birth, my "troll tummy phase" because that's the only way I can describe it. Looking forward to that phase in September! ;) Seriously, why don't all the major maternity lines come up with a postpartum line of clothing? Maternity clothes don't always work after pregnancy. I've often thought if I was talented in that way (fashion/style) coming up this that kind of business would be a goldmine. p.s. the dress is beautiful!
CJANE!!! I found the CUTEST items at www.freshtomatoes.biz. The fabrics and colors immediately, IMMEDIATELY screamed at me to share with you and NieNie. :) And yes, that dress is cute... model it for us on Monday, that would be fun! I'm looking for post-partum stuff as I'll be giving birth to our third girl in July!
Yes, we need to see it on. Clicked on your other post and loved your idea to pair up with a student for these projects. How fun! How do you work out payments and such if you don't mind me asking? How do you find your students?
It looks very cute. I remember post-partum being the horrible time in which I could no longer fit into my jeans or anything, save for sweats and stretchy things which were obviously still not fitting like a dream, and also not needing the maternity clothes any longer. It was a sad time in my life and I am glad that post-partum clothes have came so far.

It looks gorgeous, but come on! we need to see it on to really see how fab it is!
and so new we need to see them modeled. Such a happy print.
hmmmm I'm now (sadly) 6 years post-postpartum... but that dress I know would still make me happy!
You are so smart to treat yourself to a beautiful dress!

Great idea, can't wait to see it on!
Question: I don't think I have seen you wear anything besides skirts or dresses? Do you wear jeans/pants?
My Postpartum wear consisted of wearing stretchy pants! Maybe if I wore pretty dresses, I wouldn't still be wearing stretchy pants! HA!
Yes, agreed, model it for us please ma'am! LOVE the print and those buttons!
I LOVE LOVE that print. It just screams joy. Nice!

Love it!!!! Come on.....we need a gorgeous pic of you showing it off!
I have Ellen all lined up to alter some of my favorite maternity dresses to fit my non-pregnant body. Can't wait.
I'm sorry you've got the baby blues! I say, "WHATEVER IT TAKES" to get rid of them is worthwhile! ;)
I have this fabric in green and I made curtains with it. Makes my room so cheery!
That print is sooo you! I want this dress! Joel Dewberry is definitely one of the bombest fabric designers out there!
