I started by reading NieNie and then moved to your blog. I have been struggling with conversion to Mormon...I have met with several missionaries, and been to church. I have questioned because I thought that I could not live up the standard that I thought I had to....but what I have learned from you and your family is that it seems we all struggle..so should I give up on something that has been tugging at my heart for so long because I am so afraid that I am not good enough? My original sentence was, "By that rule, a sinner could sincerely wish to please God while continuing to sin." I was talking about intention vs. action. <BR/><BR/>Your suggestion that a *conscious* sinner can't sincerely wish to please God is a good one. But I believe that there are people who know they're sinning and yet can't stop themselves. --But see, this is why I wanted to avoid the word "sin" in the first place--it takes us awfully far away from the point I was addressing in Courtney's blog!annnoreply@blogger.com
