"He was turned off by her loss of beauty" was NOT the first thing to cross my mind. If I were in a situation like that with a spouse I loved dearly I don't know that I could look at him right away either. I think I would be FREAKED OUT by what happened to him, and ashamed of myself if I'd had anything to do with it. It is hard to cope with such a sudden, drastic change in your life--even when it's ostensibly a good change, as lottery winners prove over and over again. You know?<BR/><BR/>I was so touched by that news story. I never had that closeness with my family and all I can think is how incredibly lucky Stephanie is. I wish her only the best.<BR/><BR/>My grandmother was injured similarly to what Stephanie experienced. Two months before I was born, there was a gas leak in her house and she lit a cigarette. The entire town rallied around her and my grandfather and raised money to help him rebuild before she came home from the hospital.
