I just clicked on the link and read that whole talk from President Hinckley. I am a Christian woman who sometimes struggles with the negative and demeaning attitude often displayed by men towards women within my faith, whether that's insinuating they're less capable, less important, or just hammering in again and again how 'the man is the head of the woman'. When reading President Hinckley's talk what i got was such a sense of love and respect for women - and what a special place in creation God gave them, without resorting to demeaning language about them or making out that they're slightly below men. I was really touched by it and i'm going to pass it on to my husband.

So thank you so much for this post, CJane!

Been there, many times! I posted about being my husbands Help Meet a long time ago and sometimes I go back to read it to remind myself of my purpose as his wife. It's nice to be loved for who you are and not what you look like. ; )
