I didn't know about your blog this time last year so I am just reading this and that is just so creepy! I was hoping the story would end with you finding out who put it there, but now we'll never now! Let's just say, I hope that never happens to us! Too scary!

How creepy and what a great story! I absolutely would have called the police, though- if only because I couldn't stand the suspense of waiting until the morning.

A slightly different situation but weird nevertheless- my brother in law owned a plot of land that had a trailer pad on it. A couple literally moved a trailer onto the pad and hooked up plumbing and electricity. The most insane thing is that it took a month of legal processing for him to be able to get them forced off his land.

Anyway, I enjoyed your blog! If you're interested, I just started my own this week. I'd love to have you check it out!

Are you kidding me? You had the opportunity to call 911 and you didn't? Calling 911 is automatic insurance for winning queen of the conversation Who doesn't listen when a story starts out, "I had to call 911 last night"?

I got the heeby-jeebies just thinking about the fact that the tent was gone in the morning!!! I had a momentary lapse in my desire to move to Utah!! It was just a moment though.... We have a big yard with lots of woods behind it and I worry about strange things like this all the time! I am glad all is safe in your house!

We live in a particularly windy part of the world. We had a tent set up in the backyard... we were taking it down (removing all bedding, pulled up pegs, etc.) and then got sidetracked. The next day the tent was gone... blown into a neighbour's fenced backyard - three blocks away. Maybe someone just tracked down their escaped tent?
