I have to say, I didn't follow Stephanie's blog until I read about her in the NYTimes. But I find myself drawn to her messages and yours. I am amazed by her joy in everything. And when you wrote that she is still beautiful, it bring tears to my eyes. Thank you for being people who see more in the world.

I have been following, blogging, and even doing a little fundraising for you, but have never commented before. Probably because I was never sure I had the right thing to say. I still may not, but I feel I need to say "thank you".

You probably already know this, but I feel you have been and are serving a powerful mission--all of you. Stephanie, first through her blog where her endearing optimism shines. Stephanie and Christian, through their personal sacrifice. You, through your selfless service and your unique gift for storytelling, and your williness to share freely with so many of us. And all of your family, with their determination to see the good in what most would consider bad, and find the joy in adversity. It can't have always been easy to be brave and proactive, but you all have been radiant examples of all that is good, in a world where cynicism and criticism are much more fashionable than gratitude.

I, personally, have been uplifted, inspired, and encouraged to be a better wife, mother, sister, friend, person because of you all. I know I am not alone.

I pray the Lord will continue to bless and strengthen all of you as you enter the next chapter of this mission. I know He will!

I am so glad to find your amazing blog tonight after reading some of the NieNie Dialogues. I was so sad to read of your sister's accident and the loss of the instructor as well as their extensive injuries. Yet, overall, this is such an amazing story about your amazing family (have added links to my blog).
