Aww, glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better. The crazy thing is how quickly you forget morning sickness once it's over, I promise that someday soon you'll forget how gross you feel now and instead get to focus on feeling the baby move all the time and enjoying all the energy you'll feel in the second trimester.

So sorry for the loss of C.'s grandmother - she sounds wonderful, as does her potato salad.

You know, I *craved* cinnamon bears when I was pregnant with Savannah and couldn't find them anywhere on the East coast - I had to have them imported from Utah, delish!

sucking on good and plenty's helps me. and, salt and vinegar potato chips, and sniffing lemons. i tried acupuncture and it worked but only while the needles were in.

I am sorry for the loss of dear Grandma K and my heart goes out to Grandpa K. Wow. 71 yrs! That is a LOT of LOVE.

I have an idea for your future wealth! Publish a book called "5000 Things NOT to Say to a Pregnant Women" or "5000 Ways to Conquer Morning Sickness". I know you could come up with a much more creative title. But, why waste or feel annoyed at all the free advice when you could get rich by publishing a book!
Also, I think a Lilypie ticker would be fun just below your header. You on the other hand might hate a reminder of how LONG you have to go. Obla-dee-obla-da life goes on...and so does the beat.

Bagels were my #1 staple each pregnancy. Although they tasted like cardboard, the cinnamon raisin ones are the reason I lived the first trimester.

Usually, a shower would knock me out for the day, so I'm proud of you for surviving TWO travels. When I was pregnant with #1 and hellishly sick, we went to JAPAN!!! OH my gosh, don't ever do that. The fish and rice all over the place is enough to kill a person off (at least one with All-Day Sickness).

Look how many weeks you have behind you. You are doing it~

Cjane, I don't want to be one of those people who forgets to tell you things (I, too, took a plane from Utah to Arizona when I was 13 weeks along and the attendants just made me sit in the back by the restroom cuz they got sick of my running down the aisle). SO--I hate to break it to you, but there is an itsy-bitsy tiny chance that the barfiness will last way past the first trimester. My doc kept saying it was almost over and then poof! there was my first daughter and I had only gained a few pounds the whole nine months (not my favorite weght-loss method).

I just wanted to give you an e-hug and tell you I would come brush your hair if I could. I threw up for most of my 3 pregnancies, which I why we have only 3 children...I feel ya.

Also, have you tried the B6 and half Unisom tablet? I swore by it to relieve the nausea after the first puke of the day. Take it before bed...it's good stuff.

Also, my hubby works at a pharmacy, and they make a pill for morning sickness that my friend swears by. I can't remember the name of it, but I know it has B12, unisom, and something else in it. I'll check with my main squeeze and let you know. You let me know if it's anything you'd be interested in trying.

It seems everything went smooth and as well as could be expected. Grandma K looks like she certainly would make a killer potato salad.
