I came out of the Temple just now & noticed both the crescent moon & the "star of Bethlehem" that you saw. Then I turned & saw the beautiful Y all lit up! Thank you, Courtney, for pointing these things out. It made my experience tonite that much more wonderful, magical, & heavenly!

WHAT? Say WHAT? Oh man, I heart August. It is the only month I look forward to with all the zeal and passion I can muster all year. ALL year I tell you! It marks so many milestones for me, especially this year. I celebrate my 10 year anniversary at a lovely little company call Star Exhibits, I turn the daring age of 32 in August, and I look forward to my anniversary to my husband at the end of August, usually accompanied by a trip for two to somewhere totally awesome. Next year is our 10 year anni and we are going back to San Fran, the site of our honeymoon. Boy oh boy, I already can't wait for August NEXT year!!!! Love your blog cjane:)

I love to see the Y lit on the mountain. And I liked your photo with the special star. Our two oldest daughters graduated from BYU today:) One got a full time job (our Courtney) and she feels so blessed in this economy, and the other is soon to head off for an LDS mission to Paris France. Blessing galore.

Thanks for the pictures. It's funny. I've never lived in Utah, and my daughter went to BYU Idaho. But I've been to a couple of BYU Women's Conferences. That's all. And yet, Salt Lake and Provo feel like they're mine anyway by osmosis. They're like the motherland or something for me, as a Mormon. So that Y feels so familiar to me. A little weird.

I am moving on to great adventures this year! Only, I graduated from BYU last December. But, thanks to graduating, I'm a first year behavior teacher here in Provo! I am off to change the world. At least a little part of it.

OH, but you missed the meteor shower! there might be more tonight, but it isn't anything like last night.

my birthday is in august and the meteor shower always happens on my birthday. couldn't ask for much more than stars falling for me, right? and you live right near optimum viewing area high up in the mountains.

anyway, that's another really beautiful thing that happens in august (the meteors, not my birthday). i'm hoping that you find more and more to like about august.
